Reuse Republic - County Hall Cork - 31st October 2018

Meet some of our finest upcyclers, eco-buisnesses and reuse initiatives.

SMILE Resource Exchange in collaboration with Cork County Council, are hosting a reuse event “Reuse Republic” in the foyer of Cork County Hall on Wednesday 31st October from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

“Reuse Republic” will be an exhibition of reuse themed projects and businesses operating in the reuse sector which will be open to the public.

The aim of the event is to showcase some of the leading upcyclers, eco-businesses and reuse initiatives both locally and nationally. The exhibitors will give the audience a taste of what can be done with end of life materials and the various initiatives that exist promoting reuse and extending the life of products. Ultimately, the aim is that people will leave the event more educated and will have changed their perceptions and attitudes towards single use.

The event will coincide with Reuse Month October, a countrywide initiative is sponsored by the Regional Waste Management Offices and coordinated by Community Reuse Network Ireland (CRNI) to promote reuse with a nationwide series of events (
