ReMake Design Network; is a network of designers in Ireland making products from waste materials. It is a not for profit organisation. We run workshops, pop-up shops and exhibitions.
The Resource: 15,000 unusable hotel key cards (unusable due to printing error).
The Exchange: The ReMake Design Network collected 15,000 of the previously unusable hotel key cards with the view of using them as a material for design workshops that they hold in the future.
The Results: This exchange saw HotelKeyCards save on the cost of disposal for the cards. ReMake Design Network saved on the cost of buying a similar plastic material for their workshops. This was estimated at €3450 as each card would normally retail at €0.23 each.
